Stumbled into this place to get out of a torrential downpour that came down as we were walking around the Sanford Art Festival. We decided to grab a few drinks to get out of the rain. We tried 2 glasses of Greek white wine. I forget the name but it was similar to a Chardonnay. It was nice and refreshing. We later saw that they actually served cocktails so we both tried the gin fizz. It wasn't as strong as I normally like my drinks. But, this is a Greek restaurant and not a bar, so I'm not really complaining.

We decided to get an app and entree to share since the storm wasn't letting up any time soon . We ordered Anthony's favorite and the grilled octopus. The app was presented beautifully and was equally delicious. Perfectly ripened tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, feta cheese sheets, olives, and 2 types of fresh bread to make your own bruschetta.

The surprising stunner was the octopus. Simply prepared but grilled to perfection. The texture resulted in the most tender meat. Hunks of it almost tasted fatty in the most luxurious way. We were so surprised at how good it was!! And it definitely was the best we ever had. The last place I had octopus that was really memorable was at Rusty Spoon or this other Greek place in Altamonte and Zorba's has blown them out the box.

Service was friendly and efficient and the ambiance was casual yet nice. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area. I hope to find myself in Sanford again soon.

    Overpriced but delicious.
Was worried about coming here on a Friday night at 7 without a reservation. If this is you- don't worry. There are plenty of tables. The place was not even half full by 830.
Started with the saganaki, which is a cheese that comes flaming with ouzo. It was recommended to me by a colleague and I've had it at other Greek restaurants. It was tasty, but just as expected. They serve it with a small loaf of homemade bread. We asked for a side of butter and got those little individually plastic gold wrapped butters. Lol. I was hoping for a little ramekin or whipped butter. Pipe dream.
Next, we had the octopus. It is marinated and then charred on the grill. It is served with sliced tomatoes with feta cheese and olives. It was delicious. For $22.95, it was a small portion. This dish is more costly than some of their entrees, and a lot less food.
I had a glass of Greek red wine with my dinner. It was ok. Tasted like grape juice. Nothing fancy. I ordered the papootsakia, a stuffed eggplant dish with a béchamel sauce. My date had the gyro plate which had a ton of onions and tzaziki sauce. Yum! We split everything half and half. I enjoyed both dishes, my date didn't like the sweetness of the béchamel sauce on my dish.
After dinner, I had a Greek stout beer while we chatted. I loved it. I should've had two of those instead of the wine. But the abv is low, something like 5.8%.
The waitress may have been bored. She was all over our table at the beginning and the end and throughout. In the beginning, I felt a little hurried to place my order. As if she needed to turn our table over. In the middle I was happy because she was attentive. However, she as trying to grab my date's plate before he was finished sopping all the sauce with the bread. That was a little annoying. It doesn't hurt to leave some plates for a few minutes. At the end, I was in no hurry to pay while we were enjoying our time so I had to stop her from grabbing the empty check.
Overall, great food. Overpriced. Service is prompt and sometimes overbearing.
    Street parking.
We skipped dessert but it sounded awesome. Lemon mascarpone cake! I'd try another Greek place or go back to Santorinis in deland before coming back here. It was good, but not great.

This place was amazing! My best friend and I stopped in last night after having a few cocktails at the nearby tiki bar. The tiki bar used to serve food so we were planning on just getting something there, but without food, he suggested we go to this Greek place he'd eaten at before. Off we went and we were so glad we did. The food was fantastic and the servers weren't just friendly...they were very knowledgeable too. We had the stuffed grape leaves, that flaming cheese (I can't remember what it's officially called), and we shared a gyro platter. It was so delicious, all of it. I'm so glad my best friend suggested coming here and I hope to go back again soon.

The service was nice and friendly. The location is beautiful inside. The food was good, but not the best Greek food I've had. However, the size of the dishes are MASSIVE so the dinners are great for sharing.

Kinda disappointed. I had the gyro, which was mediocre. Plenty of meat but the tzatziki sauce was bland and only 2 toppings to choose from. Not to mention, the price was higher than their website and you get no side. The prices in general are just too high. They also only had 2 kids meal items to choose from, which again, did not match the website menu. I purposely checked their online menu before going, so it is misleading on their part to have a different menu on their website than the one you get when you arrive.
